Ref Assist is an AI-powered study tool for NCAA football officials. Ask any play scenario and you’ll get a clear ruling, the relevant rule reference, and the reasoning behind it — designed to help you work through plays quickly and reinforce the rules.

Like any AI tool, Ref Assist is not infallible, particularly on complex scenarios involving multiple fouls, unusual change-of-possession situations, or rare plays. Every answer includes a rule reference so you can verify it against the rulebook yourself. We recommend treating Ref Assist as a study partner — fast, available, useful for practice — not as a substitute for your judgment or the actual rulebook on game day.

Advancing as an official also requires proper conditioning, strong communication, consistent mechanics, professionalism, and the ability to manage a game. Using this site cannot guarantee advancement or get you hired on its own, but it will make you better than officials not putting in the time to prepare.
